Moby Announces DJ Comeback Days After “Stop Stalking Me Moby” Music Video Drops: Coincidence?

Ever think of a long lost friend only to receive a message minutes later?

The Police wrote a song (and titled an album) about it: Synchronicity.

The Cambridge dictionary defines it as, “The happening by chance of two or more related or similar events at the same time…..”

Moby recently announced his first DJ gig in five years, ending a hiatus of “being anti social and not leaving the house much”.

Relatable, Moby. Relatable.

We at Glitter Gob can’t help but notice the Divine Timing of Moby’s resurrection. The announcement surfaced mere days after Kingston & GreyStarr’s new music video premiere of “Stop Stalking Me Moby”!

Produced by Howlpeak Productions, “Stop Stalking Me Moby” takes a psychedelic, lyrical time machine back to 2009, when Moby could be seen everywhere and anywhere south of 14th Street …. From Arlene’s Grocery Store to the local street fair.

Sigh… those were simpler times.

If Moby is that long lost classmate in the “other messages” folder… perhaps

Kingston & GreyStarr are the friend that thought of him first?

Synchronicity or coincidence? Either way, Moby, we are just glad to have you back!

Word on the street is that Moby’s return gig with Raul Campos will go down at Hollywood bar 'Golddiggers." Tickets are only $5! All ticket sales will benefit the Los Angeles Vegan Food Bank.

For more information about the Vegan Food Bank visit @vegansoflosangeles on Instagram or checkout the long form MobyPod interview with founder Gwenna Hunter.

We at Glitter Gob hope the tradition of Moby sightings in Los Angeles carry on the torch for those of us who lived it!
